John P. Cotter
John Cotter, the current owner of the firm, founded Diepenbrock & Cotter with Anthony Diepenbrock in 1999. John has tried cases to verdict throughout the State of California and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
John believes in preparing every matter as if it were going to trial, thoroughly examining every aspect of each case. His civil litigation practice emphasizes defense of personal injury actions — including those involving heavy equipment, truck, bus, ambulance and para-transit vehicles, public entity defense, forester and logger defense, premises liability claims, products liability claims, insurance coverage disputes, insurance bad faith litigation, construction defect litigation, railroad defense (FELA and crossing accidents), insurance agent malpractice and admiralty defense.
